ETSN.fm Final Class 4A Poll: Two Unbeatens + Two One-Loss Teams Make Up Top Four

As the playoffs begin later this week, the region will pin its hopes for a 4A state champion or two on a handful of teams. And the top four in the season's final ETSN.fm East Texas Class 4A poll aren't a bad place to start.

After the last week of the regular season concluded, the foursome features a pair of unbeatens and two one-loss teams, who should have excellent chances of playing deep in the postseason.

Gilmer (10-0) hung onto the No. 1 spot after its 63-27 rout of Emory Rains, Gladewater (9-1) remained second following the Bears' 56-22 defeat of Center, Van (10-0) stayed at No. 3 after a 31-0 shutout of Kaufman, and Atlanta (9-1) finished at No. 4 following a 40-22 defeat of Spring Hill.

Jasper (7-3) moved up one spot to No. 5 after a 48-7 rout of Silsbee, and Henderson (8-2) fell one position to sixth after its 24-18 loss to rival Kilgore. Carthage (5-5) remained at No. 7 after its fourth consecutive victory -- a 28-21 defeat of Chapel Hill (5-5), which fell one spot to ninth, behind Athens (7-3), which moved up to No. 8 following a 52-28 win over Wills Point.

Bullard (7-3) stayed at No. 10 after its 35-21 defeat of Canton.
