In this week's edition of the ETSN.fm podcast, our Clint Buckley and Mike Graham look ahead to Week 9 of the regular season. And for the first time all year, inclement weather threatens to wreak havoc on Friday night festivities.

Clint and Mike aren't meteorologists, so they do talk about the things they know best: football.

Can upstart and undefeated West Rusk snap defending state champion Waskom's 22-game winning streak? John Tyler is showing signs of being ... well, John Tyler, but do the Lions get tested on the road from a Corsicana team that's lost just once all season?

And if Corsicana does pull off the upset, does that open the door for Lufkin (4-3, 3-1) and Ennis (4-3, 3-1) to jump back into the 16-5A title discussion with two more weeks remaining in the regular season?

Speaking of Lufkin and Ennis, they play each other this week, too.

Marshall (7-0, 4-0 ) is one win from wrapping up the 15-5A crown for all intents and purposes, but four-year starting quarterback Justin Hart is done for the year after suffering a knee injury last week.

How does that impact Marshall not only this week at Texas High (5-2, 3-1), but long term? Clint and Mike will give you their best shot at an answer.

Also ...

  • GIlmer puts school-record 23-game winning streak on the line vs. Bullard (5-2, 2-0 in 5-4A Division II).
  • Can Tamrick Pace and surprising Brownsboro (4-3, 2-0 in 9-4A Division I) do it again this week when the Bears travel to perennial power Carthage?
  • Private school glory could be at stake as well, as the lone TAPPS Division II, District 2 unbeatens -- Tyler Bishop Gorman (7-0, 4-0) and Dallas Christian (6-1, 4-0) -- square off in a biggie.
