ETSN.fm Preseason Class 4A Poll: No. 4, Kilgore Bulldogs

The Kilgore Bulldogs rebounded from a tough 2014 with a district championship last season. And with 13 starters coming back, the expectations remain high in Kilgore.

The Bulldogs begin the year ranked No. 4 in the ETSN.fm Class 4A Preseason Poll.

Kilgore nearly went perfect in District 9-4A Division I a season ago, but its 4-1 mark was good enough for the league's top seed in the playoffs.

The Bulldogs finished 8-4 with a loss to El Campo in the area round, but it was a solid bounce-back campaign following their 4-7 mark in 2014.

Kilgore returns eight offensive starters, including quarterback Buddy Jackson and receivers Jonathan Shepherd and Cole Wood. Senior Dylan Scarlett should fortify what looks to be a strong offensive line.

Defensively, Kilgore is talented at all three levels with lineman Kevin Tinney, linebacker Ty Wallace, and safety Mateo Meraz all returning.
