WHITEHOUSE -- The Whitehouse Wildcats picked up a 63-53 non-district win over Mount Pleasant, Friday at Wildcat Arena.

Whitehouse (11-5) was led by Javier Neal, who finished with 14 points. McKade Marquis added 12 points, while Jackson Mahomes and Kaleb Ford-Dement had nine and eight points, respectively.

Dorian Glinton paced Mount Pleasant (8-4) in defeat with 14 points. Kevin Savage added 13 points, while Buddy McGill chipped in with 11.

Mount Pleasant returns to action Tuesday at Hallsville in the District 16-5A opener, while Whitehouse resumes its season at the Wagstaff Holiday Classic in Tyler, Dec. 27-29.

 

Slocum Tops Buffalo

BUFFALO -- The Slocum Mustangs earned a 51-43 victory over Buffalo on Friday.

Alex Maldonado led the way for Slocum (10-5) with 16 points, while Taylor Hunt was right behind him with 14 points.

Slocum returns to the court Monday at home against Carlisle.

Brownsboro Stops Bullard in OT

BULLARD -- The Brownsboro Bearettes outlasted Bullard with a 42-39 overtime victory on Friday.

Tamaria Manning paced Brownsboro with 14 points, which included a pair of 3-pointers.

Bullard's Allie Kirgan led all scorers with 27 points.

Bullard next plays host to Cushing on Dec. 27, while Brownsboro hosts the annual Bearette Doubleheader, Dec. 29-30.

 

Henderson Rolls Past Whitehouse

HENDERSON -- The Henderson Lady Lions cruised to a 56-34 win over Whitehouse on Friday.

Tomariyah Dixon led Henderson (9-8) with 23 points.

Whitehouse was paced in defeat by Chelsea Johnson's 11 points.

Henderson takes part in the Hallsville Tournament on Dec. 27-29, while Whitehouse will participate in the Macy Chenevert Classic in Tyler on the same dates.

 

Winona Blasts Troup

TROUP -- The Winona Ladycats eased to a 72-44 rout of Troup in District 15-3A action Friday.

Nichole Garrett powered Winona (10-4, 2-0) with 22 points, four rebounds, and three assists. Daysha Hanson added 17 points, 11 steals, and seven assists, while Nae McMiller chipped in with six points and four steals.

Both teams are back in action Tuesday. Winona entertains West Rusk, while Troup travels to Harmony.
