WHITEHOUSE -- The Whitehouse Wildcats took a 62-50 win over Ennis in the District 17-5A opener for both teams Friday night at Wildcat Arena.

Colby Duhon knocked down five 3-pointers and finished with 22 points to lead Whitehouse (15-7, 1-0). Javier Neal added 17 points, while Jackson Mahomes chipped in with 10.

Whitehouse plays at Lindale on Tuesday.

 

Harmony Earns Non-District Win

HARMONY -- The Harmony Eagles took a night off from District 15-3A play and earned a 71-49 non-district rout of Longview East Texas Christian on Friday.

Waymon Lay led Harmony (8-10) with 21 points. Caleb Hart added 14 points, while Spencer Seahorn finished with 11 in the win.

ETCS' Garrett Oehlert hit four 3-pointers and led all scorers with 22 points. Matt Vetter chipped in with 15 points.

Harmony returns to district Tuesday night at Tyler Cumberland Academy.

 

Slocum Knocks Off Avalon

SLOCUM -- The Slocum Mustangs earned a hard-fought 58-53 win over Avalon in District 27-A action Friday night.

Alex Maldonado burned the nets for 31 points to lead Slocum (13-11, 2-0), while Keet Cockerham added 11 points.

Slocum travels to Laneville on Tuesday.

Bullard Routs Spring Hill

BULLARD -- The Bullard Lady Panthers cruised to 52-24 win over Spring Hill, Friday in District 15-4A action.

Lauren Zachry led Bullard (22-5, 2-1) with 22 points, which included seven 3-pointers. Allie Kirgan added 13 points in the Lady Panthers' win.

Spring Hill was led by Jayla Landrum, who finished with 11 points in the losing effort.

Both teams are back in action Tuesday. Bullard travels to Kilgore, while Spring Hill plays at Gladewater.

 

Chapel Hill Powers Past Kilgore

KILGORE -- The Chapel Hill Lady Bulldogs rolled to a 53-35 win over Kilgore in District 15-3A competition, Friday night.

Mykaela Alfred paced Chapel Hill (21-6, 2-1) with 17 points, while Ty'Liyah Moore added 13.

Kilgore (2-1 in district) was led by Jamaria Thomas and Alexis Gaitan, who finished with 13 and 11 points, respectively.

Chapel Hill hosts Gilmer on Tuesday night.
