CONROE -- Lufkin had no answer for Humble Atascocita quarterback Greg Campbell, and it cost the Panthers dearly Saturday afternoon.

Campbell totaled 395 yards of offense and accounted for all six touchdowns in Atascocita's 42-24 victory in a Class 5A Division II Region II bi-district matchup at Moorhead Stadium.

Atascocita improved to 10-1 and will play Lake Travis at 2 p.m. next Saturday in Bryan in the area round. Lufkin finished 5-6.

Campbell was 21-of-29 for 224 yards with two touchdowns and an interception, and rushed for 171 yards and four scores on 15 carries as Atascocita racked up 494 yards of offense.

Lufkin junior quarterback Trey Cumbie completed 28 of 45 passes for 290 yards with a touchdown and interception, and added 56 yards and two touchdowns on the ground.

The Panthers pulled to within 28-17 late in the third quarter on Cumbie's 2-yard touchdown run. But Campbell scored on runs of 9 and 31 yards -- sandwiching another Cumbie TD run -- in the fourth to put the game away.

Atascocita took a 14-0 lead on touchdown runs of 47 and 18 yards by Campbell. Cumbie's 12-yard scoring strike to Terry Mark cut the deficit to 14-7, but Campbell answered with a 25-yard touchdown pass to Taylor Stump as Atascocita regained the two-touchdown lead.

Timmy Martinez's 24-yard field goal trimmed Lufkin's deficit to 21-10 before halftime, but Campbell gave Atascocita a 28-10 lead late in the third with a 20-yard pass to Jemarcus Jones.
