Blue Bell’s Popular Ice Cream Flavor Returns to Texas Stores

Blue Bell recently held a contest called the Great Scoop Revival Flavor Tournament. Fans voted for their favorite old flavors, and the winner was picked in a bracket-style competition. After lots of votes, Groom’s Cake Ice Cream came out on top! It beat Cookie Cake Ice Cream in the final round.

“We’re excited to bring Groom’s Cake back this year,” said Kelli Remmert, Blue Bell’s marketing manager. “It’s always tough to say goodbye to a favorite flavor, so we love hearing from fans. We’ll definitely do another flavor tournament in the future!”

Groom’s Cake first came out in 2009, but it was discontinued in 2018. This ice cream is made of milk chocolate ice cream, chocolate cake pieces, and chocolate-covered strawberry hearts, with strawberry sauce and chocolate icing mixed in. It’ll be available in both pint and half-gallon sizes – but only for a limited time, so make sure you get it before it’s gone!
