Violent Man Duct Taped to Seat Aboard Dallas Flight

Footage has leaked aboard a Dallas/Fort Worth flight going to Newark that had to be diverted due to a physically violent passenger.

Thankfully, I have never been on a plane that had to be diverted due to some a-hole. Just imagine having to re-takeoff because someone on your flight was being a jerk. Sadly some American Airlines passengers dealt with this last night. Their plane was diverted to Baltimore after a passenger began assaulting another passenger.

Man Duct Taped to Seat on Dallas/Fort Worth Flight

TMZ obtained the footage and got the details on what went down last night. Witnesses said the man appeared intoxicated and began talking to the guy sitting next to him. He started screaming about Jesus and going to hell. The passenger got a flight attendant to come de-escalate the situation. That is when this man then allegedly called the flight attendant a racial slur. He also started punching the passenger and calling him a gay slur.

Three passengers held the man down to prevent the assault from continuing on. When the man refused to stop fighting, zip ties and duct tape were used to keep him in his seat until the flight could land in Baltimore. Maryland Transportation Police took the man into custody upon landing and he's expected to face federal charges.

American Airlines Statement on What Went Down Aboard the Dallas Flight

A spokesperson for American Airlines told TMZ ... "On Sept. 3, ​American ​Airlines ​flight 618 diverted to Baltimore ​(BWI) ​due to a disruptive customer. Upon arrival, law ​enforcement ​met the ​aircraft and ​assisted with ​deplaning ​the ​customer before ​the ​flight continued ​to ​its ​destination. The ​safety and ​security of our customers ​and ​team members is our ​top ​priority ​and ​we do ​not tolerate violence. ​We ​thank ​our team members ​for ​their ​professionalism and ​our customers for ​their ​understanding."
