
East Texas Predator Gets Prison Time for Meeting Minor Online
(East Texas) For years we have all seen or at least heard of television shows where law enforcement will arrest adults for attempting to create a relationship with a minor online, recently there was an East Texas man who was sentenced for committing a crime very similar to that.
Details on the East Texas Man Sentenced
According to KETK, 28-year-old Zachary Arzola from Mount Vernon has been sentenced to prison after pleading guilty to traveling with intent to engage in illicit sexual conduct with a minor.
Arzola first met the minor through social media in September of 2022 when she was only 14. He traveled to meet her in December of 2022.

Provided False Documentation to Her Family
While in Ohio the family of the victim asked for his identification, and he produced a fake I.D. stating that he was 16 years old.
Arzola returned to Ohio in 2023 and took her back to Texas with him.
Mount Vernon Police found Arzola and the victim at his house. He admitted that he persuaded the victim to have a sexual relationship.

Sentenced to Prison Time for Relationship with a Minor
The sentence came down that Arzola would spend 240 months in federal prison for traveling with intent to engage in illicit sexual conduct with a minor.
Hopefully this is another reminder to everyone that there are predators online and it’s important to know who is communicating and trying to communicate with your loved ones online, especially those under the age of 18.
