Warrant Recall Going on NOW In Gilmer, Texas

Gilmer, Texas is the latest East Texas town that is trying to help defendants in their city to get rid of any outstanding warrants. 

This is not the first of its kind, but I love hearing local governments doing what they can to help people through this type of situation. 

Details on the Warrant Recall in Gilmer, Texas 

The City of Gilmer announced on Facebook that they will be holding a Warrant Recall throughout the entire month of March. 

This specific recall is for any outstanding traffic warrants. 

No One Will Be Arrested for These Traffic Warrants 

Essentially the City of Gilmer is saying that defendants that voluntarily visit the Gilmer Municipal Court located at 110 Buffalo Street in Gilmer from March 1st through the 30th and make appropriate arrangements will NOT be arrested. 

What If You’re Not Sure About Having a Warrant? 

If you think it’s possible that you have a warrant out for a traffic violation but you’re uncertain. You’re encouraged to visit the Gilmer Municipal Court in person during regular business hours.  

Their court hours are Monday through Friday from 8:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m.
