East Texas Man Gets 16 Years After Disturbing Park Incident

An East Texas man just learned that he will spend the next 16 years behind bars after asking two young girls to change his diaper. 47-year-old Whitehouse resident Wesley Worl was sentenced this week to 16 years in prison for asking the girls to change his diaper, but he also has a history of similar behavior.

According to CBS 19, Worl pleaded guilty to solicitation to commit indecency with a child (sexual contact) charge. That is when he was sentenced to 16 years behind bars.

Why the Sentence Was Increased

Worl had previously spent time in prison, which is why his range of punishment was upgraded from a third-degree felony to a second-degree felony, which has the penalty range of two to 20 years.

The state said that after the DA's office had time to review the case this was the highest offense that Worl could be charged with for what took place.

Judge Taylor Heaton of the 475th District Court said that he was hesitant to accept the plea deal but this was legally the highest felony charge available under Texas law.

What Happened Near Pollard Park

The incident that led to this took place on July 29, 2025 when an 11-year-old girl told law enforcement that she was with a friend riding bikes near Pollard Park and Andy Woods Elementary School when a man got out of a truck and asked for a diaper change.

The girls say that he was shouting, "Goo goo ga ga, I need a diaper change."

The girls were frightened and ran away from the man who was later identified as Worl. The girls sought help from a nearby family, and Worl was arrested several days later.

Previous Criminal History

Worl's criminal history dates back to 1999 when he was accused of committing similar acts involving young girls, including public indecency, wearing a diaper in public, and stalking his ex-girlfriend.

At one point, he was banned from visiting all parks within the city of Tyler.
