Winnsboro ISD Names Third Interim Superintendent in 7 Months
In East Texas, Winnsboro ISD has now named its third interim superintendent after abuse cover up allegations. The Winnsboro ISD has now appointed Chris Trotter as its third interim superintendent after allegations surfaced that child abuse had been covered up which led to multiple leadership changes within the school district.
How Winnsboro ISD Reached Its Third Interim Leader
According to CBS 19, earlier this week Winnsboro ISD trustees approved naming Trotter as its third superintendent in nearly seven months after back in January there were allegations made of child abuse that that was covered up. The former interim superintendent was Jeff Conovan who resigned, Conovan assumed the position in February.

Arrests That Reshaped District Leadership
In February, Conovan was replacing Cody Holloway who was acting interim superintendent after the arrest of superintendent Aaron Nation who allegedly concealed details about child abuse. Cody Holloway is still the principal at Winnsboro High School.
Nation was arrested with the now-former superintendent Brian "David" Wilcox and Ashley Wilcox (David's wife and former speech-language pathology assistant) for failing to report child abuse with intent to conceal after there was an investigation done by the Texas Rangers.
Who Is Chris Trotter?
The Winnsboro ISD Board President, Brandon Green said, " Chris knows this community and what it values. We believe he's the right person to keep our traditions strong while we work on areas where we still have room to grow and to make sure our students and staff feel supported every step of the way."
Before being appointed for the new position, Trotter has been a classroom teacher, coach, campus administrator, district administrator, and superintendent in his career.
