Angelina County Felony Offenders Dec 11th -17th, 2024

From December 11th to December 17th, 2024 there were 16 felony arrests in Angelina County. This is down from last week's 18.

There are 243 inmates in the Angelina County Jail in Texas according to angelinacounty.net.

Man Arrested In Lufkin For Alleged Aggravated Sexual Assault Of A Child

The worst offender this week was arrested on December 11th and has no mugshot. Simon Santamaria Chacon, 41, racked up a ton of charges. Two of them were first-degree felonies.

Chacon was also accused of a second-degree felony.

Bench Warrant Issued For Diboll Woman For 2019 Intoxicated Manslaughter

Diboll police had a hard time finding Kila Lisa Janes in 2019 when she was a suspect in an intoxicated manslaughter and intoxication assault case. According to KTRE, Crime Stoppers got involved at the time.

In May of 2019, she was believed to be the driver in a crash that injured one person and took another's life. She was only 22 then. Now 28, a bench warrant has been issued and she was taken into custody again.

Judges can issue a bench warrant for many different reasons. For example, when someone does not fulfill the obligation of their release, not showing up to court or not attending counseling or treatment programs assigned to you could result in a bench warrant.

She may face additional charges and remain in jail until the warrant is lifted.
