Here’s the thing—I'm a total minimalist, so I actually like the current white plate with black lettering. Not to mention, that was the license plate when I was a little kid. But I will admit that I prefer black with white lettering.

I figure at some point the DMV will make a change to the general-issue plate as they tend to do that about every 10 years or so. We’ll see which direction they decide to go when they do it. In the meantime, Texas offers a ton of cool personal plates but be ready to pony up because they’re not cheap. Take a look at them here.
