Video Shows Stuck Cybertruck Being Pulled From Texas Lake

This is what happens when rich people have way too much to drink. Admittedly, I assume the guy’s rich because he’s driving a Tesla Cybertruck, but I guess he could have rented it. Whatever the case may be, I would advise against driving one into a body of water. Sure, they’re designed to float, but just because you can do something doesn’t mean you should. 

I know a couple of people who think Cybertrucks look cool, but I just don’t get the appeal of them. To me, they look like something straight out of Robocop. They’re boxy and plain, and frankly, don’t resemble a truck in the least bit. If anything, they look like an overgrown futuristic El Camino (nothing against El Caminos; I love them).

I have to give it to Tesla for being a forward-thinking company. I know I certainly wouldn’t have thought to design a vehicle that floats on water. We’re constantly plagued by flash flooding in this part of the country, and even though it’s best to adhere to the old saying “turn around, don’t drown,” you can quickly get caught off guard and find yourself in trouble during flash flooding. So, the floating feature would come in handy in a pinch. 

That is, unless you find yourself stuck in the water and have to make your way back to dry land for safety, like the two guys who decided to go for a joy ride in Lake Grapevine on Monday (May 18). Take a look at the video below and keep it in mind the next time you feel compelled to drive a Cybertruck into the water.
