It must suck to have spent your adult life building a career only to find out most people don’t trust those who work in your field. No, the least trusted professions are two that have always been associated with trust issues: lobbyists and members of Congress. It makes sense because the two professions go hand-in-hand. Shady lobbyists line the pockets of greedy, crooked politicians in order to get favors from them.

That’s why we have politicians who make less than $200,000 per year but are worth tens of millions of dollars. The math doesn’t add up, does it? Either they’re genius investors or are on the take. My guess is the latter rather than the former.

Now, if you’re one of the good politicians who truly serves the interests of the people rather than those with special interests, good for you. You’re the exception to the rule.
