Texas Rangers New Hat Pulled Off Shelves for Being Vulgar
It's time for the annual how did Major League Baseball mess up their hats, again?!
Coming up in just a few weeks, it will be Opening Day for Major League Baseball. The Texas Rangers will be opening the season March 27th against the Boston Red Sox. Every year, a new hat is unveiled for all the teams and this year the design is called 'Overlap'. The idea is that the team logo, overlaps the name on the jersey. You can see what it looks like for all the teams below.
As you can see, when the teams use a letter as their logo. They look a little weird. The Orioles, Blue Jays, and Brewers all have somewhat decent hats. However, the internet is mocking many of the others. For instance, you get the Houston Ashos, the Los Angeles Anaels, or the Miami Mmmi. However, one of these hats has been pulled from shipping and it would be the Texas Rangers selection.
Yes, the Texas Tetas can no longer be purchased from the MLB website due to it being too vulgar. You may be asking yourself, what is so bad about this hat? Well, ask one of your Spanish speaking friends about this. The word Tetas in Spanish, translates to 'Tits' in English. Yes, for those of you who love boobs and the Texas Rangers this hat was made for you.
Sadly though, it's no longer available. However, some fans were able to purchase one before they were taken off the site. No word on if they will be shipped to the sellers since they technically paid for them before they were pulled.
Just last year, MLB baseball had another hat get pulled off their sites, but the ones purchased originally were still sent to people. This Oakland Athletics hat had a 3D effect with the logo. However, it looks like the hat just says Ass on it. We will wait and see if Rangers fans get their Tetas hats. I imagine they could go for some good money if anyone wants to sell theirs.
