One of the things I loved when my daughter was growing up in Amarillo was our fun activities. I loved to fill our weekends with fun we could have together. We would head to the movies and catch the newest movies. We would run out to Hastings and find a movie on the shelf.

When fun events headed our way we would be the first to sign up. We did a few overnight mommy/daughter camping outings. Those were always fun. Something that we looked forward to every year.

There were some camps she did by herself too. Every summer we would count on her heading out to a weeklong Girl Scout Camp. She would also head out with her friends each and every summer to Ceta Canyon.

We have some beautiful areas that you should make sure your kiddos have a chance to explore. Now when my daughter was growing up we did a mother/daughter overnight camp out at the Girl Scout Camp. We did a few of those.

I don't think Ceta Canyon had that option when she was growing up. If they did we totally missed it. So finding that there is such a weekend event happening now makes me wish this was for sure a thing all those years ago. We would have loved it.

How much easier it is to find fun things in life with the ability to get the word out via social media. Here is one of those great events. This one is for all of the mothers and daughters. A great weekend to escape to the beautiful Ceta Canyon and just recharge and unwind.

Make sure you make those lasting memories with your daughters. It will be great to have a weekend like this to look back on with so much joy and probably a laugh or two. Find out more information and register HERE.
