Celebrate Mom, Eat BBQ, and Live Music In Tyler This Weekend
(Mix 93-1) It is a big weekend for East Texans - not only is it Mother's Day weekend, but it's also a big weekend for barbecue and live country music lovers, it's Red Dirt BBQ & Music Festival weekend in Tyler.
The barbecue festival, paired with live music featuring Texas Country artists, will converge upon the new Park of East Texas on the west side of Tyler. More than 20 of the best barbecue joints from around the state of Texas will be on site sampling their barbecue, ribs, chicken, pork, and more.
While festival goers are sampling some of the best smoked meats in Texas, they'll also be entertained with live music from the Texas Country music scene. Hope you have tickets already, because for the 11th year in a row, it is a SOLD OUT event.
While this event is taking place in a new venue, because of all the construction that is happening in downtown Tyler with the new courthouse project, there are other things happening in town as well.
Remember Mom on Sunday for Mother's Day. While she would enjoy a day to herself, free of questions, cleaning, and cooking, she would love to hear from you. Pick up the phone and give your mom a call, and if she's at home with you, reward her.
Give her a card, maybe some flowers, and a day of relaxation.

Here's a look at what's happening this weekend in East Texas.
