Things To Do In East Texas On Easter Weekend 2026
(East Texas) 'Bawk bawk Easter bunny'! As a child of the 80s, I still remember the M&M's commercial that aired around Easter time. It showed kids thanking the Easter bunny for their M&M's, and at the end, the kid in the yellow chicken outfit saying, 'Bawk Bawk'!
Even though I no longer see that commercial, the phrase is stuck in my mind.

It's Easter weekend, and eggs of all kinds are being prepared for Easter egg hunts this weekend. Plastic eggs are being stuffed with snack-sized candies and taped shut, while others are hard-boiling and dyeing eggs for Easter. Once all the prep work is complete, the 'Easter bunny' will hide the eggs around the yard or house for the kids to go find.
Kids are hoping to find the golden egg, too, because it usually contains money or some kind of special surprise. Good luck to all those who are hunting the eggs this year, and hopefully they all get found, especially that hard-boiled egg!
Judging from the extended forecast, a lot of eggs are going to be hidden indoors because of the chance of rain this weekend. Rain is needed, but not on a holiday weekend.
Here's a look at what's happening this weekend in East Texas
