(Mix 93-1) East Texans are a pretty generous group of people. We tend to lend a hand and help out when it comes to charitable organizations, especially those supporting kids, the elderly, and those in abusive situations.

With the arrival of the holidays, we become more aware of the needs within our community. We see special angel trees with holiday requests, specific drives to accept donations, and we hear the familiar ringing of bells. We pitch in when we can to assist those organizations to make the holidays much brighter for those in need.

How the Blue Santa Program Helps Local Families

A special annual event is coming up on Tuesday, December 2nd, from 5 to 7 p.m. at local participating Whataburger locations that will benefit and provide toys, food, and other necessities to children and families in need. Operation Blue Santa will benefit when you dine at participating East Texas Whataburger locations.

The Blue Santa program is operated by police officers, volunteers, and local businesses, and is based on the idea that all children deserve to have a special Christmas. East Texas Whataburger locations that are operated by DKT Investments will be participating in this event.
