It was just a month and a half ago when Texas was rocked by severe storms and a ton of rain. The Hill Country in particular got crushed, and none more than the small city of Kerrville.

We all know the stories, the lives lost, the camp that got swept away. People in the Hill Country community immediately rallied and did everything they could, from forming search parties to getting supplies to the impacted residents.

National Support For Kerrville

This past Sunday in Austin, there was a huge concert at the Moody Center that brought together Miranda Lambert, Parker McCollum, and many other heavy hitters in the country music world. They put on an epic show, from what I heard.

Appearances from Texas royalty such as Matthew McConaughey, Roger Clemens, and Dennis Quaid graced the stage and implored them to "Band Together Texas". The event was a rousing success and did so much for the community.

West Texas & Minor League Baseball Band Together

Now, it's our turn to help out Amarillo. The clubs in the Minor League Baseball Texas League division have banded together to do their part and raise funds for Kerrville, and this includes your Amarillo Sod Poodles.

On August 29th, the Soddies will have their chance to help out Kerr County, but it can't be done without you. That night, they will wear special Hill Country jerseys that will immediately be auctioned off right after the game. Yes, they'll play in them, take them off, and then they could become yours, with all proceeds going to the fundraiser.

What Else Will Be Happening At HODGETOWN

It won't just be the jerseys off their backs. Throughout the game, there will be auctions of game-used jerseys, as well as online auctions of some if you can't make it to the game. Inside HODGETOWN, there will also be a t-shirt campaign, as well as the 50/50 raffle prizes being donated from the team's end.
