Are you a small business owner in Amarillo, Canyon, or surrounding areas? Is business so good that you're thinking about expanding but don't quite have the capital to do it?

Well, good news for you is there's a chance for you to get the capital you need, and not have to worry about paying it back.

The Amarillo EnterPrize Challenge is back for 2025 thanks to the WT Enterprise Center and the Amarillo Economic Development Corp.

A big, fat prize pool of $500,000 is up for grabs for businesses based in Potter and Randall counties that are looking to expand beyond the Amarillo Metropolitan Statistical Area.

The Amarillo Metropolitan Statistical Area consists of Potter, Randall, Armstrong, Oldham, and Carson counties, so in order to be eligible, you must be looking to grow and expand outside of those four counties.

Last year, three businesses found themselves as winners of the funds, Legacy Monument Co., Hi-Plains Civil Engineering, and Slicks Fabworks.

They have all gone on to expand their operations thanks to the money given.

If you're looking to get yourself entered into the competition, you can do that now by visiting the WT Enterprise Center website and registering your business.

In order to be eligible to sign up however, you must attend at least one of the seven orientation sessions that are being offered. Being at a minimum of one of these sessions is mandatory, and you won't be able to participate or sign up without attending.

At the seminar, you'll learn about eligibility requirements as well as the program schedule.

If you need more info, you can visit the website above, call them at 806-651-8500 or email at aec@AmarilloEnterPrizeChallenge.com.
