Living in Texas has its bonuses, however, it is a huge state, and it seems that everyone and everything is watching you.  You can't go anywhere anymore without seeing a drone, or even a car with a camera passing by you.

It's creepy to know that anyone from anywhere can see your house.  If they have your address, all they have to do is go into Google Maps and type it in and the next thing you know there is your home.  It's a stalker's dream.

Now don't get me wrong, it's not real-time, you would need some pretty crazy spy stuff to get real-time satellite imagery, but it's still a picture of your house.  These pictures get updated yearly or at the most every couple of years.

What All Can You See on Google Maps?

Not only can you see the house, you can see the vehicles in the driveway or the front of your home.  Google does blur out the license plates, but you can still tell the make and model of the car.

If you're tired of people spying on you using Google Maps, I have good news for you.  You can request to have your home blurred on Google Maps.

How to Get Your Home Blurred Out on Google Maps

  • Go into Google Maps and find your home
  • Open the Street View image of your home.
  • Click "Report a Problem" in the bottom right corner
  • Fill out the form
    • Choose the "blur the house" option
    • Enter your email
    • Click submit

Google will review the report and may or may not contact you for more information.

It's that simple. Hopefully, once you put that request in, people won't be able to see your home on Google Maps; if they do, it'll be a big blur.

Most Googled Questions in Texas

Google has become the go-to to find out anything. In fact, Google is now a verb instead of a noun. Just about every single person has access to Google and now they have an answer to every single question at their fingertips.

In one day, Google does 8.5 billion searches. That's in one day!

With that many searches you would think people would come up with some interesting questions, but no these are the questions Texans are asking Google the most.
