I think most of us look for famous eateries when traveling. If a town has a famous restaurant, most of us are most likely to stop and try it out.  I also think that deep down inside each one of us is some kind of foodie. If you are like me, I like to try to take in the cuisine of the area that I am in. I want to experience their culture.

According to Only In Our State, here are the 10 restaurants that every Texas should try!

7. The Pickett House in Woodville

The Pickett house is located not too far from Beautmont in the small town of Woodville. My family that live in Beaumont love this place. What's uniqu about The Pickett House is they serve their food family style or boarding house style. This is where you sit at the table and food is brought out to you in serving dishes and you pass it around the table. They are known for their fried chicken and chicken and dumplings.
