Grizz Presents: A Movie List For My Return To KISS FM
After a brutal stint on the sidelines (aka being violently unwell and spending some time in the hospital), I have clawed my way back to 93.1 KISS FM. What better way to celebrate than with a cinematic binge of absolutely relevant films? These movies capture the drama, the struggle, and the sheer absurdity of a return so monumental that it probably deserves its own Hollywood adaptation.

1. The Lord of the Rings: The Return of the King (2003)
The obvious choice. A long and grueling journey? Check. A rightful return to the throne (my radio chair)? Absolutely. A bunch of people dramatically kneeling in my presence? Still working on that part, but let’s give it time.
2. Terminator 2: Judgment Day (1991)
Much like the T-800, I said I’d be back, and here I am—minus the leather jacket and Austrian accent. But let’s be real, the station experienced a slight apocalypse without me.
3. Homeward Bound: The Incredible Journey (1993)
A heartwarming tale of three lost souls struggling through perilous terrain (read: hospital stays, endless medications, and terrible TV) just to return home where they belong. Yes, I am Shadow, the wise old golden retriever. Yes, my triumphant return made someone cry.

4. Rocky II (1979)
Because the first round wasn’t enough, and I had to fight my way back. If you listen closely, you can hear the entire city of El Paso chanting, “Grizz! Grizz! Grizz!” as I make my heroic return to the airwaves.
5. Finding Nemo (2003)
A desperate journey to return to familiar waters (KISS FM). I, too, faced sharks (nurses with giant needles), jellyfish (IV drips), and a forgetful blue fish (me, on medication). But against all odds, I made it back.
6. Cast Away (2000)
Stranded in the abyss of my hospital room, I befriended a saline drip and screamed "I HAVE TO GO BACK!" into the void. Thankfully, no makeshift rafts or FedEx packages were required for my return.

7. Back to the Future Part II (1989)
Great Scott! I traveled into an alternate timeline where I wasn’t on the radio, and frankly, it was horrifying. So I had to fix the space-time continuum and return to where I truly belong—on your morning drive.
8. John Wick: Chapter 2 (2017)
I tried to rest, but the world pulled me back in. Okay, no one actually put out a hit on me, but the airwaves needed me. And much like John Wick, I return with style, vengeance, and possibly a new dog.
9. The Lion King (1994)
Like Simba, I had to disappear for reasons (fine, medical issues), only to realize that my rightful place was always here. Cue the dramatic return scene with “Circle of Life” blaring in the background.
10. Batman Begins (2005)
I disappeared, trained in a metaphorical mountaintop monastery (read: hospital bed), and came back stronger than ever. Gotham may not have needed me, but El Paso sure did.
So grab some popcorn, settle in, and enjoy this ridiculous movie marathon to celebrate what is truly the most important cinematic event of the season: The Return of Grizz (now fully medicated and ready to go).
