Lufkin senior defensive standout Demontrai Lewis is making his third visit this weekend, according to Panther coach Todd Quick.

The 6-foot-3, 215-pound defensive end will visit Houston this weekend in hopes of receiving an offer from the Cougars.

Lewis, who had a stellar senior season with 76 tackles, 31 for loss, 12 sacks, and two fumble recoveries, has already visited New Mexico and Sam Houston State. Both schools extended Lewis offers, Quick said. Lewis also holds offers from Texas State and UTSA.

Lewis has racked up 20 sacks during the past two seasons. He helped Lufkin go 9-4 in 2012, which ended in a 55-52 shootout loss to Plano West in a Class 5A Division II Region II semifinal.

Lewis is ranked No. 23 on the latest ETSN 25 recruiting rankings of the 2013 class.

Four Lufkin underclassmen to keep an eye on are junior defensive tackle D.J. Williams (6-3, 280), junior receiver Jamal Jeffery (5-9, 170), sophomore receiver KeKe Coutee (5-10, 170), and sophomore offensive lineman Erik McCoy (6-3, 270). All four could be Division I FBS recruits. Jeffery has already committed to Texas A&M.
