WACO -- The third-ranked Malakoff Tigers are headed to the regional championship and a rematch with perennial power Cameron Yoe.

Malakoff junior quarterback Judd Miller accounted for 238 yards of offense and passed for two touchdowns, leading the Tigers to a 27-14 win over No. 6 Rockdale in their Class 3A Division I, Region III semifinal Friday afternoon at Waco ISD Stadium.

With the win, Malakoff (13-0) will get Yoe (11-2) in a rematch of last season's third-round playoff game -- a 45-44 victory for Yoe. Kickoff is scheduled for 7:30 p.m. Friday back at Waco ISD Stadium.

Yoe defeated Malakoff's district rival Teague, 23-6, later Friday night.

Miller completed 10 of 18 passes for 143 yards, and ran for a team-best 95 yards on 14 carries. QT Barker caught five passes for 92 yards and a touchdown, and added 38 yards and a score on the ground.

Malakoff's Tyler Russell caught a touchdown, and intercepted two Rockdale (11-2) passes.

The Tigers jumped out to a 21-0 lead in the second quarter on the strength of Miller's 57-yard scoring strike to Barker, Breashawn Williams' 5-yard run, and Miller's 13-yard touchdown toss to Russell.

Rockdale cut the lead to a touchdown late in the third quarter on a 44-yard touchdown pass from David Franklin to JaQuaylan Crawford. That followed running back Davion Ford's 1-yard touchdown just before halftime.

Barker scored on a 13-run seconds into the fourth quarter to put the game away for Malakoff.
