HENDERSON -- Chapel Hill's senior tandem of April Walker and Mykaela Alfred came up huge Monday in a 70-60 win at Henderson.

Walker scored a team-best 21 points. Alfred was not at all far behind with 17 points.

Kyia Moore added another 10 points to round out Lady Bulldogs (6-1) in double-digit figures.

Combined, the trio were able to overcome Tomariah Jackson's 25 points for the Lady Lions (4-2) plus an 11-point contribution from Jaclyn Garrett and another 10 points from Resha Hall.

Chapel Hill will be back in action today at 11 a.m. on the road at Pine Tree before breaking for Thanksgiving.

Henderson is on Thanksgiving break and next travels to Crockett for a Saturday showdown.

 

Lloyd Leads Bullard Past Van

BULLARD -- Hannah Lloyd was on fire behind the arc and helped Bullard to a 57-25 win Monday at home against Van.

Lloyd connected on six 3-point attempts for all of her 18 points. Allie Kirgan and Lauren Zachry also reached double digits with 11 and 10 points, respectively.

The Lady Panthers held five Van players to nine or less points each.

Bullard returns to the court next Tuesday and hosts Lindale from Class 5A. Van simultaneously hosts Rusk for its next game.
