North Texas Offers Corrigan-Camden’s La’Darius Hamilton

New North Texas football head coach Seth Littrell's staff has extended an offer to one of the East Texas area's top defenders.

Corrigan-Camden 2016 linebacker La'Darius Hamilton confirmed Thursday morning via Twitter that he has received an offer from North Texas.

Hamilton (6-1, 220), who was previously committed to Texas State, also holds an FBS offer from ULL.

Littrell, the former assistant head coach and tight ends coach at North Carolina, was hired as North Texas' new coach in December of 2015. He replaced Dan McCarney, who went 22-32 in his four-plus seasons in charge.

North Texas already has a significant East Texas presence on its roster. There are currently a dozen players from the region on the Mean Green roster.

Hamilton had a productive senior season for Corrigan-Camden. He finished with 83 tackles with three forced fumbles and two recoveries, helping the Bulldogs to an 8-5 record and third-round appearance in the Class 3A Division II playoffs.

Hamilton, like all 2016 prospects, can officially sign with the college of their choice on National Signing Day, Feb. 3.
