FORNEY -- T.K. Hamilton rushed for 219 yards and three touchdowns to lead Waskom to a 42-18 rout of Hearne on Friday to send the Wildcats to the regional round of the Class 3A Division II playoffs.

Waskom (8-4) will face Clifton or Garrison next week, while Hearne ended its season at 9-3.

Hamilton accounted for more than half of Waskom's 417 rushing yards in the win. Bryan Holland ran for 108 yards and two touchdowns. Quarterback Ty Carter completed 2 of 5 passes for 42 yards, including a 35-yard touchdown to Jay Reeves.

Quarterback Micah Smith led Hearne with 83 yards passing on 8 of 19 completions with a touchdown and two interceptions, while Javon Jefferson fronted the running game with 10 carries for 48 yards.

After opening the game with a 70-yard touchdown run, Hamilton helped break things open after Waskom fell behind 10-7 late in the first quarter. He scored on a 49-yard touchdown run, Holland followed with a 17-yard score and Reeves caught his touchdown pass to give Waskom a 28-10 lead at halftime.

The Wildcats extended their lead on a 51-yard touchdown run by Holland to make it 35-10 early in the third quarter. After Smith found Cedrion Golden for a 47-yard touchdown pass, Hamilton scored his final touchdown of the game, this one from 16 yards out.
