WHITEHOUSE -- The second-ranked Tatum Eagles survived a scare Tuesday night, ultimately finishing off pesky Nacogdoches Central Heights 56-54 in their Class 2A Region III quarterfinal at Wildcat Arena.

ATHENS -- Whitehouse coach Brent Kelley had a tough decision to make when devising a scheme to handle Lancaster's offense. He ultimately decided to double-team the low post to make up for a severe size disadvantage, leaving perimeter shooters with open looks.

TYLER -- Anthony Sanders did all he could to carry Athens on his shoulders Tuesday night, but Kilgore wasn't going to let one man deny its trip to the regional tournament.

TYLER -- Dallardsville Big Sandy gave Tenaha all it could to mount a thrilling comeback in the fourth quarter, but the Tigers held on to book a return trip to Wagstaff Gymnasium at Tyler Junior College.
