MOUNT PLEASANT -- Gilmer reached the Class 4A Region II tournament with a quick, 25-22, 25-20, 25-17 win against Pleasant Grove Tuesday in the regional quarterfinal round at Mount Pleasant High School. Destiny Brooks guided the team in scoring with 17 total points, 15 kills and two blocks. Jaci Traylor recorded a team-high 23 assists in the victory.

MALAKOFF -- Franklin fans were ready to blow the lid off Malakoff High School's gym as White Oak took its first timeout of the first set. This was their team's statement game.
