NEVADA -- The second-ranked and defending state champion Gilmer Buckeyes kept on rolling Thursday night, using a 34-point second quarter to fuel a 61-13 rout of Nevada Community for their 25th consecutive win.

BULLARD -- Sophomore quarterback Cleet Bowman accounted for six touchdowns -- all in the first half -- to lead the Bullard Panthers to a 47-9 defeat of Melissa on Thursday night at Panther Stadium.

LONGVIEW -- The Hallsville Bobcats scored early and often en route to a 58-24 rout of Pine Tree in a key District 15-5A clash Thursday night at Pirate Stadium.

PARIS -- The 10th-ranked Liberty-Eylau Leopards raced out to a 28-point lead, but had to score twice in the fourth quarter to finally put away Paris North Lamar, 47-29, Thursday night.

WHITEHOUSE — The Nacogdoches Dragons stayed alive in the postseason hunt by using a second-quarter scoring barrage en route to a 51-21 win over Whitehouse on Thursday.

TEXARKANA — Texas High dominated the first quarter, and that was all it took. The Tigers scored twice on defense, had a long touchdown run and two TD passes during a 35-point onslaught in the opening period, and went on to topple Greenville, 45-21, Thursday at Tiger Stadium at Grim Park.

PALESTINE – Carthage receiver Jakeldric Jackson had three touchdown receptions as part of a six-catch, 213-yard game to lead the Bulldogs past Palestine, 48-14, in a District 9-4A Division I game Thursday at Wildcat Stadium.
