East Texas squads Cayuga and Cross Roads will have a long road ahead of them as they attempt to dethrone the Tigers.

The Bullard Lady Panthers continued their strong start to the season with a couple of easy wins Thursday at the E.L. Kirk Tournament.

LINDALE -- Carthage is off to a 2-0-1 record at the Lindale Tournament and closed its day with back-to-back wins against Van and Scurry-Rosser. Chapel Hill tied the Lady Dawgs, 2-2, in both teams' opening game.

WINONA -- The Carlisle Lady Indians went 2-1 in pool play at the Winona Tournament on Thursday. Carlisle defeated Union Grove (25-15, 28-26) and West Rusk (25-8, 25-11) before losing to Cross Roads (25-23, 25-20). District 10-2A Division I will be a drastically different experience for all teams involved.
