The Beckville Ladycats remained unbeaten on the season with a 24-26, 25-9, 25-15, 26-24 win over Elysian Fields in District 16-3A action on Tuesday.

There was plenty of local volleyball action Friday night.

Emory Rains entered the 2016 season with big expectations. It didn't disappoint. The Ladycats went undefeated in District 13-4A play and clinched the league title with ease. They advanced on to the Region II tournament semifinal round before calling it a year.

Spring Hill middle blocker Ann Hollas climbed the ETSN.fm East Texas Volleyball Super Team list each year, but after achieving first-team last season there was only one award more out there to target.
