One of East Texas' two 2019 recruits who have already committed received another Division I FBS scholarship offer on Friday.

John Tyler offensive lineman and SMU pledge Chance Billington announced via Twitter that Texas State has offered.

Billington (6-3, 301), who committed to the Mustangs last month, is the third local player in the 2019 class to be targeted by Texas State. He joins Longview offensive lineman Marcus Williams and Pine Tree ATH Keshon Williams.

He has also been offered by Jackson State.

Billington has helped his team get off to a 4-2 start (2-1 in District 11-6A). John Tyler's offense is averaging 31.7 points and 376.8 yards per game.

John Tyler is off this week before resuming its season Oct. 20 at Rockwall-Heath (5-1, 3-0).

Billington, like all juniors, will first become eligible to sign with any Division I program that offers him in December of 2018.
