MALAKOFF -- Third-ranked Malakoff drove 99 yards in the final three minutes to earn a thrilling 40-36 win over Teague in Friday night, keeping the Tigers' hopes of an outright District 9-3A Division I championship alive.

Judd Miller's 16-yard touchdown pass to Q.T. Barker with 17 seconds remaining capped the game-winning drive, which was preceded by a goal-line stand on fourth down by the Tigers' defense.

Malakoff (9-0, 6-0) can clinch the league title and No. 1 seed in the 3A Division I playoffs with a win its regular-season finale next week at Elkhart, or a Teague (7-2, 5-1) loss to Palestine Westwood.
