Tuesday Basketball: Chapel Hill + Tyler Grace Girls Open Season With Wins

NEW CHAPEL HILL -- The Chapel Hill Lady Bulldogs began the season with a 75-20 rout of Wills Point on Tuesday.

Four Chapel Hill (1-0) players finished in double figures, led by a trio that all finished with 16 points -- Princess Suell, Mykaela Alfred, and Kyle Moore. Daija Maddox added 14 points.

Chapel Hill continues its season Friday against Pine Tree.

Tyler Grace Downs Van in Opener

TYLER -- The Tyler Grace Lady Cougars began the season with a 38-28 defeat of Van on Tuesday.

Addie Daughtry led the way for Grace (1-0) with 19 points.

Carie Jarmen paced Van (0-1) with seven points, while Jordan Raglin and MaKiah Dodd finished with six points apiece.

Grace continues its season Saturday at Frankston, while Van takes part in the Grand Saline Tournament, Thursday-Saturday.
