Tuesday Volleyball Roundup: Tyler All Saints Rallies For Five-Game District Win + More

TYLER -- The Tyler All Saints Lady Trojans rallied from a 2-0 deficit to capture a 21-25, 19-25, 25-22, 25-16, 15-9 victory over Dallas Christian on Tuesday in TAPPS District 2-4A action.

All Saints (11-6, 2-0) was led by Ferrell Clyde, who finished with 25 kills and three blocks. Hanna Waits added 12 kills and two aces, Frances Hackney dished out 44 assists, and the duo of Emma Lewis and Maddie Varga combined for 35 digs.

The Lady Trojans' season continues Thursday at Carrollton Prince of Peace.

Carlisle Too Much For Gladewater

GLADEWATER -- The Carlisle Lady Indians scored a 25-21, 25-14, 25-23 sweep of Gladewater on Tuesday night.

Macey Minnix led Carlisle (7-9) with six kills, two blocks, and two aces. Ceci DeLeon added 18 assists and two aces, while Keylee Adair proved two kills, a block, 19 digs, and three aces.

Carlisle takes part in the Winona Tournament this weekend.

Big Sandy Sweeps Winona

BIG SANDY -- The Big Sandy Ladycats earned a 25-21, 25-17, 25-14 sweep of Winona on Tuesday night.

Winona was led in defeat by Maraga Cooper, who finished the night with seven kills. Nichole Garrett added 15 assists, Jazmone Hanson had three blocks, while the combination of Janeth Tarango and Mallori Shacklett teamed for 40 digs.

Winona hosts its own tournament this weekend.

Emory Rains Cruises Past Mineola

MINEOLA -- The Emory Rains Ladycats took down Mineola in three games, 25-12, 25-7, 25-16, on Tuesday night.

Rains was led by Charlotte Bradshaw, who finished with 11 kills, three blocks, five aces, and 15 digs. Ashley Gowin provided 10 kills, while Shelbi Sheppard added 16 assists and 16 digs.

The Ladycats' season resumes with the Brownsboro Tournament on Thursday and Saturday. Rains plays host to Kaufman on Friday.
