ATHENS -- The Athens Hornets began the soccer season with a 3-1 win over Whitehouse on Tuesday night.
TYLER -- Greg Priest will be recommended as the next athletic director of Tyler ISD during the next Board of Trustees meeting on June 23.
District 32-4A did some damage in the playoffs this season, highlighted by Pine Tree's run to the sectional round of the 4A girls soccer playoffs.

LINDALE -- The Bobcats have done some impressive things through four rounds of the Class 4A soccer playoffs.
Add representing East Texas to the list. Hallsville defeated Red Oak, 4-1, Monday evening in the Region II Quarterfinals at Lindale's Eagle Stadium for a trip to the regional tournament.
