VAN -- Frost fumbled a snap on the last play of the game, with a second left and with a second-and-goal at the Tenaha 2, allowing the Tigers to sneak out of Van Memorial Stadium with a 34-30 victory over the Polar Bears in Friday night's Region III-1A DII final.
ATHENS — The Mart Panthers scored their first touchdown on the opening drive of the game and never looked back, rolling over the Alto Yellowjackets 62-42 in their Class A Division I Region III final Friday night at Bruce Field.
BEAUMONT -- The ball bounced Carthage's way several times in the second half to help the Bulldogs lead El Campo by 11 points with less than four minutes to play in Friday's Class 3A Division I state semifinal, but the final bounce went to the Ricebirds.
MOUNT PLEASANT -- The name Mims has long been associated with greatness in Daingerfield football lore, and another chapter was added to the story in Friday's Class 2A Division I Region II championship.
MANSFIELD -- When Stephenville needed him most, Tyler Jones came through.
ENNIS -- All week much of the talk around John Tyler and Frisco Centennial's Class 4A Division I Region II championship game centered around one matchup: JT receiver Fred Ross against Centennial cornerback Ranthony Texada.
LUFKIN -- Newton running back Kevin Shorter put on a show Friday night.
LONGVIEW -- When Henderson inserted Patrick "Monster" Brown at quarterback midway through the Lions' regular-season matchup with Gilmer on Oct. 13, the Buckeyes were on their heels.
LONGVIEW – Facing a 17-point point deficit with less than three minutes remaining in the first half, the Gilmer Buckeyes never panicked.
