Two more Division I scholarship offers rolled in for Arp running back Kayce Medlock on Friday, including No. 7 from the FBS ranks.

Medlock (5-10, 186) announced via Twitter offers from both UTSA and Lamar on Friday afternoon.

In addition to the new UTSA opportunity, Medlock holds offers from six other FBS schools -- Army, Colorado, Navy, SMU, Tulane, and Louisiana-Lafayette.

It's been a busy couple of weeks for Medlock, who earned Offensive MVP honors at the fourth annual ETSN.fm + APEC Football Recruiting Combine in Tyler on May 22. He recorded the best laser-timed 40-yard dash — 4.40 seconds —  and ranked third among all invited players in Keiser squat testing with an output of 3,557 watts.

Arp’s running back also put up 10 reps of 225 pounds on the bench press, leapt for a 31-inch vertical jump and a traveled 112 inches in broad jump testing.

Medlock ran for 1,184 yards and 13 touchdowns during his junior year. He helped Arp come back from a 1-5 start to make the regional semifinal round of the Class 3A Division II playoffs.

Arp’s season ended with a loss to its district rival, Waskom, which went on to win a second consecutive state championship.

UTSA hired former LSU assistant Frank Wilson this past offseason to replace the six-year old program's only previous head coach, Larry Coker.

The Roadrunners, a member of Conference USA, are coming off a 3-9 season in 2015 after going 4-8 the year before.

Lamar, an FCS member belonging to the Southland Conference, has recently resurrected its program following a 20-year hiatus from 1990-2009. The Cardinals are coached by Ray Woodard and finished 5-6 last season.

Medlock, like all high school football prospects about to begin their senior year, will become eligible to sign with any school that offers him in February.
