WHITEHOUSE -- The Whitehouse Wildcats scored a run in the bottom of the eighth inning to defeat Nacogdoches, 4-3, Tuesday night in District 16-4A action.

Patrick Mahomes worked all eight innings on the mound for Whitehouse (14-6, 3-0). The junior right-hander allowed three runs (all unearned) on two hits with 11 strikeouts and four walks. He also was 1-for-3 with a triple, run scored and three stolen bases.

Aaron Clemons went 2-for-3 with three RBIs to lead Whitehouse at the plate.

Brigham Hill drove in two runs for Nacogdoches.

Whitehouse returns to action Thursday at home against Corsicana, while Nacogdoches plays host to John Tyler.

Chapel Hill's Patrick Day Strikes Out 19

GLADEWATER -- Patrick Day stuck out 19 batters to propel Chapel Hill to a 6-1 win over Gladewater on Tuesday in a District 16-3A battle.

Day allowed one unearned run on two hits and walked three. He was also 1-for-3 with two RBIs at the plate.

Andrew Black added an RBI and two runs scored, Cody Domitrovich went 1-for-3 and scored twice, Braden Nelson was 1-for-4 with an RBI and run scored and Zack Walters was 1-for-3 with a double and run scored.

Chapel Hill (16-6, 2-4) returns to action April 4 at Henderson, while Gladewater plays at Henderson on Thursday.

Carthage Takes Down Huntington

CARTHAGE -- The Carthage Bulldogs eased to an 11-1 win over Huntington in five innings Tuesday in a District 20-3A matchup.

William Rittenberry (4-1) got the win, allowed a run on three hits with seven strikeouts and one walk.

Beaux Gilbeau led Carthage at the plate, going 1-for-3 with a double and two RBIs. Samuel Chhor was 2-for-3, Kolby Blissett was 1-for-3 with two RBIs and Tyler Musgrove had a hit and drove in a run.

The Carthage cause was helped along by five Huntington errors.

Carthage's season resumes Thursday at home against Diboll. Huntington is at Pollok Central on Thursday.

Brownsboro Edges Van

VAN -- Brownsboro collected its first District 15-3A win of the season with a 3-2 win over Van on Tuesday.

Raul Gutierrez got the complete-game win on the mound, allowing two runs on six hits with seven strikeouts and two walks.

Brownsboro (1-2 in district) took a 1-0 lead in the third inning, and added two more runs in the fifth on a single by Ryan Covington.

Van (0-3 in district) scored a run in the sixth on an RBI double from Jacob Wyrick.

Brownsboro's season continues Thursday at Canton, while Van plays at Mabank.

Elkhart Rolls Past Crockett

CROCKETT -- The Elkhart Elks cruised to an 11-1 win over Crockett on Tuesday in District 19-2A action.

Jacob Cheatham worked six innings on the mound to pick up the victory.

Elkhart (17-5, 4-1) resumes its season Friday at Garrison, while Crockett plays host to Nacogdoches Central Heights.

Top-Ranked Carlisle Run-Rules Big Sandy

PRICE -- Zach Brightwell and Shadow Sanders combined on a five-inning no-hitter, leading No. 1 Carlisle past Big Sandy, 14-0, Tuesday in District 20-A action.

Brightwell worked the first four innings, striking out seven. Sanders pitched the fifth, striking out the side in order.

It was the third straight game Carlisle (14-0, 7-0) has not allowed a hit to the opposition.

Gunner Baker, who had a 15-strikeout perfect game last Friday, went 2-for-3 with five RBIs to lead the Indians at the plate. Ben Goss was 3-for-4 with three RBIs, while Caleb Colley drove in three.

Carlisle is back in action Friday at home against Union Hill. Big Sandy is at Beckville on Thursday.

Tyler Grace Routs Dallas Shelton

DALLAS -- Three players drove in two runs, Canaan Klaassen pitched five shutout innings and the Tyler Grace Cougars rolled past Dallas Shelton, 10-0, Tuesday in TAPPS District 2-4A action.

Jacob Spitzer (1-for-4), Austin Patrick (1-for-4) and Dylan Sumpter (2-for-3) had two RBIs apiece for the Cougars.

Klaassen allowed three hits with six strikeouts and one walk on the mound.

Grace is back in action Thursday at Carrollton Prince of Peace.

Bullard Brook Hill Rolls to 15-0 Win

BULLARD -- Daniel Priddy pitched a five-inning no-hitter, four different players had three RBIs and the Bullard Brook Hill Guard ripped Richardson Canyon Creek, 15-0, Tuesday in TAPPS 4-3A competition.

Priddy struck out six without allowing a hit for Brook Hill.

Mike Greening, Collin Mondrik, Blake Maddox and Logan Walters all had three RBIs to spark the Guard at the plate.

Brook Hill's season resumes Thursday at Dallas First Baptist.
