ROYSE CITY -- The Marshall Mavericks got their 2015 season off to a fine start Friday night.

Sophomore running back Cameron Haller ran for five touchdowns and Chavis Mills added three more scores to help the Mavericks rout Royse City, 62-13, at Bulldog Stadium.

Haller finished with 105 yards on 11 carries, while Mills ran for 93 yards on 10 attempts. Haller scored four of his five touchdowns in the first half, which ended with the Mavericks (1-0) ahead 34-13.

Marshall quarterback Justin Hart completed 10 of 13 passes for 129 yards, 84 of which went to Trel Patton on five catches.

The Mavericks also returned an interception for a touchdown in the win.
