GLADEWATER -- Gladewater had two running backs surpass the century mark in the Bears' 56-20 season-opening victory against Daingerfield on Friday at Jack V. Murphy-Bear Stadium.

Marcello Jackson rushed for 140 yards and two touchdowns, and Isaiah Davis contributed 117 yards and two more scores to help the Bears (1-0) finish the game with 414 yards on the ground.

Jackson scored back-to-back touchdowns of 20 and 67 yards, followed by 40- and 74-yard touchdown runs from Davis to make the game out of reach.

Dadrian Strickland ran for and threw a touchdown for the Bears, with his throwing touchdown going to Cameron Callaway for 43 yards in the second quarter.

Deonte Allen led Daingerfield with 58 yards on the ground with one touchdown.
