CROCKETT -- Tenaha and Bremond met Friday for the third time in the playoffs in as many years, and the defending state champions prevailed.

Cobe Carraway and Chavis Gregory each scored a defensive touchdown and combined for three offensive touchdowns to lead Tenaha to a 38-7 rout of Bremond in Friday's Class A Division II Region III semifinal at Monte Jack Driskell Stadium.

Tenaha (8-4), which won the 2011 Class A Division II state championship, plays Frost (12-1) in the 1A D-II Region III final next week at a site and time to be determined.

Carraway returned a fumble 73 yards for a touchdown two minutes into the second half to give Tenaha a 17-0 lead. Gregory pushed Tenaha's lead to 24-0 with 8 1/2 minutes left on a 24-yard touchdown run, then returned an interception 40 yards for a touchdown with 3:44 remaining for a 31-0 advantage.

Bremond's lone score came on Denovious Scaggs' one-yard run with 2:14 remaining. Carraway scored his third touchdown of the night with 31 seconds left on a 53-yard sprint for the 38-7 victory.

Tenaha led 10-0 at halftime thanks to Javier Uribe's 30-yard field goal and Carraway's 10-yard touchdown run with 2:16 left until intermission.

Tenaha beat Bremond for the second consecutive season to move to 2-1 vs. Bremond during the last three years. Tenaha knocked Bremond out 51-6 last season in the second round after Bremond beat Tenaha 33-12 in the 2010 second round.
