DALLAS -- Dallas Parish Episcopal used its strong defense and a dominating game from two running backs to beat Bullard Brook Hill, 36-12, on Friday night in a TAPPS Division II District 2 game.

Tre Vance and Zach Shelley combined for rush for nearly 300 yards and three touchdowns for Parish Episcopal (7-1, 4-1), which maintained at least a tie for second place in district along with Tyler Grace Community.

Vance rushed for 151 yards and two touchdowns on 15 carries and Shelley added 146 yards and a touchdown on 16 attempts for Parish Episcopal. Vance scored both of his touchdowns in a 15-point first quarter for Parish Episcopal.

Brook Hill (5-3, 3-2), playing without star player Will Weathers, was led in the passing game by Grant Hanks, who went 17 of 24 passing for 163 yards with a touchdown and an interception.

The Guard's only touchdown came on an 8-yard pass from Hanks to Seth Brasher in the second quarter, which cut Parish Episcopal's lead to 22-12 at the half.

But Parish Episcopal responded with two touchdowns in the fourth, one on a 9-yard run by Shelley and the other on a 1-yard run by Andrew Boyd.
