ETSN.fm Preseason Class 4A Poll: No. 3, Henderson Lions

It was a disappointing finish to the 2015 season for the Henderson Lions. Despite going 7-3, Henderson missed out on the playoffs because of a district tie-breaking rule.

With 13 returning starters coming back, the Lions believe this is their year to make some serious noise.

Henderson checks in at No. 3 in the ETSN.fm Preseason Class 4A Poll.

The Lions may have the most athletic offensive group in the region, starting with a pair of TCU commits in receiver Trestan Ebner and running back Lakendrick VanZandt. But it doesn't stop there.

Henderson welcomes back two players who will rotate in at quarterback -- senior Matthew Childers and junior Trae Hall. The Lions also feature Tariq Gray, a standout on both sides of the ball at receiver and defensive back.

While Ebner and VanZandt will play heavily on defense, Henderson is also excited about the return of Keaton Hand at linebacker.
