Friday Volleyball Roundup: Carlise Beats Jacksonville In Five Sets + Rains Downs Greenville

PRICE -- Hayley Jordan scored 21 points to lead the way for Carlisle in a 25-19, 9-25, 25-13, 23-25, 15-2 win Friday against Jacksonville from Class 5A.

With the win, Carilise, a Class 2A team, elevated its overall record to 10-8.

Kyndal Martin and Aubrey Hart also reached double digits on Carlisle's score sheet. Martin recorded eight kills, three blocks and saved nine points against on defense while Hart added six kills and four blocks.

Cheyenne Vannier played a hand on 31 points by way of assists and aced six serves.

Carlisle will face next host Gladewater on Tuesday.

Rains Knocks Out Greenville In Four Sets

GREENVILLE -- Rains earned a 23-25, 25-17, 25-18, 25-21 road win at Greenville just about a day after completing pool play at the Forney I.S.D. Tournament.

Charlotte Bradshaw recorded 27 kills and added two aces in the contest.

Summer Nerkowski and Taylor Pruitt also reached double digits in the match.

Rains (12-5) will return to Forney today for Gold Bracket competition. It first match will be against North Forney.
